Overview
Nigeria’s NEITI report now includes methane emissions data for the first time, but
only 15 out of 62 oil and gas companies disclosed figures in 2022–2023. This marks
progress toward climate accountability, though most companies (76%) remain non
compliant, leaving major gaps in transparency.
