Ajah Ester

I have over 8 years of experience in the fields of Environmental and Social Safeguard, Sustainability, and Climate Change Research within the context of developmental projects, particularly those funded by the World Bank. During my career, I have been actively involved in implementing measures aimed at preventing and mitigating negative impacts in development projects. These measures encompass the protection of both human and physical assets and also address the potential risks to the reputation of multilateral development banks (MDBs) that finance such initiatives.

In my role, I have provided valuable support and practical technical guidance in the development of climate-smart strategies and plans that adhere to environmental and social safeguard requirements. Additionally, I have utilized my expertise to facilitate the monitoring and evaluation of programs based on their outcomes and results. Furthermore, I have conducted training sessions to promote the integration of safeguard principles into climate change programs.

Overall, my experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of the importance of safeguarding environmental and social aspects in developmental projects, as well as the significance of incorporating sustainability and climate change considerations into these initiatives.
